Scheduling perspective in Construction Management
Scheduling is a powerful tool when used in Construction Management, but it can also become a powerful adversary. Hello, my name is Scott and I primarily provide Forensic Schedule Analysis services to my client. In this role I do not work as the primary Scheduler for the construction project, but only as reviewer of the schedule. You might say I act on behalf of the owner/operator and provide analysis of the schedule to them. In addition to the role of Forensic Schedule Analyst I also provide different types of support to other customers, such as, Project Controls, Programming, and Estimating. However, for the purposes of my contribution to this blog I will be focusing on the analyst role. I am blessed to have several Sr. Schedulers/ Project Controllers in my company and some typically within yelling distance. In the posts to come I hope to provide useful insight from my first hand experiences or second hand experiences explained to me by some of our other Senior co-workers that will provide insight into the world of Scheduling in a Construction Management world.
