Our client was a regional architecture firm responsible for the design on a renovation project for a United States federal courthouse. The client was working with multiple design options for the project and needed to be able to evaluate the alternatives effectively before final presentation to the government. Such evaluation required accurate budgetary cost estimates for each design option be developed.
The estimator then broke down each design into manageable parts, to which resources were assigned and costed. Management Solutions developed accurate budgetary cost estimates, as well as a Basis of Estimate report, for each of the design options within a compressed time frame. The estimates enabled the architectural firm to save time in evaluating the feasibility of each design. Our client was also able to be more cost effective specific to the design and installation costs.
